we're all waiting on the ramp to be built. It's been 4 years of promises, and still no ramp.
but listen, you don't have to just stand on the shoreline waiting. Get a head start while the fishing is so incredible. Take a kayak trip and see what it's all about.
The latest information is the permits will be resubmitted in early February 2019. A funding application will be submitted to the FWC for 2019-2020 FBIP Grant to build the ramp, which is estimated to cost over $500,000. The application period ends April 2019 so the application must be completed and accepted by then. Ranking of state funds will be announced in June 2019. Based on the ranking results of the FBIP grant, construction of the ramp is anticipated to commence in the fall of 2019. So, honestly, we are looking at maybe sometime in 2020 for a boat ramp to be completed.
